Brookdale Senior Living in Denver seeks a Director of Dining Services to lead all dining operations, maintain budgets, and ensure nutritional quality for a large resident population. The role requires ServSafe certification, a college degree in food service or hospitality management, and extensive leadership experience in food service management.

Responsibilities include budgeting, menu development, event planning, and staff leadership in a complex nursing home setting with emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• College degree in food service or hospitality management preferred.
• Eight years of progressive experience in the food service industry including at least three years in a supervisory role.
• Experience managing food inventories and budgets.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• Obtain/hold local/ state food handling licenses as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Directs food service operations within the community including preparation, dining room operations and delivery services.
• Purchases all food and manages inventory ensuring cost controls and vendor quality.
• Ensures highest nutrition and food quality for residents.
• Plans and executes dining events and themes with other staff to enhance resident experience.
• Hires, trains and manages all kitchen/dining supervisory staff and ensures safe sanitation.
