Job summary

Brookdale Denver is seeking a seasoned food service leader to direct all dining operations across a senior living community. You will oversee food preparation, dining room and delivery services, manage inventory and vendor relations, and ensure high nutrition, safety, and regulatory compliance for residents.

You will hire and train supervisors, develop menus with dieticians and nursing staff, control the department budget, and plan engaging dining events.

Qualifications

College degree in food service or hospitality management.
A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in the food service industry including at least three in a supervisory role.
Current ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

Directs food service operations within the community including all food preparation, dining room operations and dining delivery services.
Hires, trains and manages all supervisory staff for kitchen, dining room, catering and delivery services.
Consults with chefs and cooks to develop and maintain menus and responds to resident preferences.
Develops department budget including purchasing and staffing expenditures.
Plans and executes entertaining dining events and coordinates with staff to enhance resident experience.
Cater events as requested by residents or staff.
