Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least ten years of senior level experience and responsibility in a complex enterprise, preferably not-for-profit.
• Demonstrated supervisory and financial management abilities to support Dining objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with University stakeholders to develop and implement Dining’s strategic plan and goals.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, direction and leadership to team members to achieve business and customer service results.
• Manage staffing levels for appropriate business levels and forecast accuracy.
• Develop policies for food service, customer service, and production and oversee their implementation.
• Oversee food service operations on four BC campuses and allocate resources to support business objectives.
• Ensure high standards for quality assurance related to food quality, sanitation, equipment, safety, and customer service.
• Lead the financial management of Dining operations and manage annual budgets with the finance team.
• Lead public relations and external communications, and respond to inquiries from students, parents, and community members.
