Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will drive food quality, safety, inventory management, and customer service to residents and staff.

The role requires adherence to menus, applicable regulations, and HCSG policies. You will supervise the food service team, conduct training, maintain records, and coordinate with managers to ensure exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• CDM, FPM, FSM or LTC-FSM certifications within required timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the food service program at a single site to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff.
• Ensure adherence to menus and regulatory requirements (federal, state, local).
• Apply infection control and sanitation procedures; ensure a sanitary environment.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
