Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high-quality meals, regulatory compliance, and exceptional resident experiences.

The role requires leading the food service team, overseeing inventories, training staff, and maintaining records. Collaboration with client managers and facility leadership is essential to deliver reliable, friendly dining service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within first 14 days; FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days is preferred.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the food service program at a single site, ensuring high food quality, safety, and customer service.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; fill dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure safety: use protective gear, manage cleaning supplies, and report equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and sanitary practices; monitor attendance and punctuality.
