Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high food quality, safety, and resident satisfaction while coordinating with clients and staff.

You will manage inventory, records, and training, while adhering to regulations and HCSG policies. This role requires strong communication and hands-on supervision to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.
• CDM certification preferred; FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within set timelines.
• Must obtain FPM within the first 14 days of employment and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to use computer software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, universal precautions, and sanitary procedures.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
