Healthcare Services Group is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility in Danbury, CT. The role emphasizes high food quality, inventory control and strict adherence to regulations while delivering excellent customer and resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or related coursework.
• Two years of quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred; must obtain FPM within 14 days and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to supervise.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel and equipment.
• Conduct staff training, quality control and in-service sessions.
• Communicate client manager directives effectively to HCSG staff.
• Use protective gear and report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain sanitary environment.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with staff, residents and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
