Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high-quality meals, manage inventory, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards to deliver exceptional resident and customer experiences.

You will supervise the dining team, maintain thorough records, train staff, and coordinate with clients and administrators to meet daily operational needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality is required or preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision are preferred.
• CDM certification is preferred; FPM, FSM, and LTC-FSM certifications must be obtained within stated timeframes.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact with staff and management.
• Residency within the service area is required and COVID-19 vaccination policy must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training and quality control, with ability to perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff effectively.
• Ensure sanitary operations, proper use of PPE, and timely reporting of equipment needs.
