Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. The role focuses on high food quality, inventory control, safety, and exceptional resident service.

You will supervise staff, ensure menus comply with regulations, and maintain records with HCSG software. Kentucky residency and relevant certifications are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality coursework.
• CDM, FPM, FSM and LTC-FSM certifications are preferred or required per state/county law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Residency within the service area is required.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning products and prompt reporting of equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
