Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. The role focuses on high food quality, safety, and exceptional resident and customer service in line with client expectations and HCSG policies.

Responsibilities include leading the team, managing inventory, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and conducting staff training. You will coordinate with client managers to deliver consistent, quality dining experiences

Qualifications

• Graduate in Dietetic Technician program accredited by ADA COA/AAP, with 15 CEUs yearly.
• Graduate from ADA-accredited Dietetics program with 15 CEUs yearly.
• Complete Dietary Manager's Course and pass credentialing exam with 15 CEUs yearly.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager within 14 days.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Positive attitude; communicate with occupants, admin, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; fill in as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and report equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain consistent attendance and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with supervisors, staff, residents and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
