Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high food quality, inventory control, safety, and exceptional resident experiences while following menus and regulations.

You will train staff, manage records, and coordinate with client managers to maintain service excellence. This role requires strong communication and operational leadership in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or required by state/county law).
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days of employment and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and effective communication with staff and management.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the food service program at a single site ensuring quality and safety.
• Lead and train the food service team to meet standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, and inventory using company software.
• Ensure adherence to menus, regulations, and HCSG policies.
• Represent HCSG professionally with clients, staff, residents, and guests.
• Perform duties as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher as needed.
• Monitor sanitation and safety procedures and report equipment needs.
