Qualifications

• Previous dining service experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members; Hepatitis A vaccine may be required in certain counties.

Responsibilities

• Performs defined dining service routines using various utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned.
• Assists with dining service setup in dining rooms and at catered events, including beverages, salads, desserts, and other food items per recipes; ensures foods are served at proper temperatures and on time.
• Assists with dining room setup, stocking buffets, and serving residents.
• Maintains cleanliness by completing daily cleaning duties, bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and proper storage of items.
• Receives and stores food and supplies.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Keeps HACCP logs and records product usage and waste amounts.
• Follows infection control procedures and uses appropriate PPE.
