Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Dietary Aide to support dining services in skilled nursing and memory care areas. You will help residents with meals, follow dietary orders, and maintain sanitary, organized dining spaces.

Responsibilities include meal prep assistance, proper food temperatures, HACCP recording, and safety-compliant operations. Candidates should have a year of dietary aide experience and willingness to learn, with required sanitation and food safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• One year of dietary aide experience preferred.
• Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members.
• Must have or be willing to receive a recognized food safety handling certification in accordance with local or county regulations.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations)

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with making appropriate food and beverage choices while ensuring options offered meet dietary restrictions/orders.
• Performs defined work routines using dining service utensils, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with all aspects of dining service set-up, including preparing meals, beverages, and other food items, ensuring all foods are served at proper temperatures and on time.
• Prepares dining room for next meal service; Sets tables, refills condiments, washes and folds clothing protectors.
• Assists with all aspects of clean-up to maintain dining service areas per policies and standards.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and incidents.
• Maintains documentation, including HACCP logs and product usage/waste records.
• Follows infection control procedures, including hand washing and proper storage of waste and cleaning agents
