Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Mechatronic Technician for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training on Digital Jetfire products (Gallus One / Labelfire). The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical work, strong customer relations, and the ability to travel up to 75% with occasional overnight stays.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and a technical degree is a plus; 5–10 years of field service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical degree is a plus, but not required.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• 5 to 10 years of field service experience, or related work experience.
• Ability to travel with overnight hotel stays at approx. 50% to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting, repairing, conduct maintenance & training on Digital printing equipment. In Warranty, Charge Service or Service Contract situations.
• Work with assigned qualified riggers to install new or used equipment that are sales generated. Also, the same upon customer request regarding equipment moves.
• Perform inspections on equipment and complete the proper documentation and attaching photographs.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (expenses, time sheets, escalation reports, online training courses, car maintenance etc.).
