Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Technician specialized in Sheetfed electrical systems. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical controls on Heidelberg Sheetfed presses at customer sites, with a company vehicle provided.

The role requires reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering hands-on training while maintaining thorough service records and coordinating with installation teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (67–100%).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and control system issues on Heidelberg Sheetfed printing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service on Sheetfed equipment under charge service and warranty programs.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system docs to identify faults and complete repairs.
• Install and support new or used equipment with qualified teams and coordinate relocations.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and document results with photos.
• Maintain service documentation for performance tracking and asset protection.
• Provide training on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting to customers.
• Complete administrative tasks including expense reports and time sheets.
