Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team and service customer sites in the Atlanta region. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair Heidelberg Postpress equipment including Polar Cutters and Stahl Folders, with focus on on-site excellence and customer training.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, ability to travel up to 75% of the week, and strong communication to ensure first-time fixes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent in mechanical, digital and electronic technology.
• 5–10 years of field service experience in electro‑mechanical devices.
• Experience servicing complex electro‑mechanical equipment at high-demand customer locations.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the workweek and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of Heidelberg Postpress bindery equipment.
• Conduct maintenance & training on Heidelberg Postpress bindery equipment.
• Install and/or move equipment with qualified riggers.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (expenses, time sheets, etc.).
• Provide initial and ongoing customer operator and equipment maintenance training.
• Provide periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs for complex problems as directed.
• Provide detailed technical feedback via Mobile Service App during/after each visit.
• Coordinate with dispatch and keep customer updated on ETA and status.
