Job summary

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County’s Nashville Public Library seeks a Technical Specialist 2 - Digital Inclusion Manager to lead the Digital Inclusion division, supervise staff, and develop programs to increase digital literacy and equity.

You will establish partnerships with local and national organizations, manage grants, track outcomes, and report to funders, with a particular emphasis on aging populations and online safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least six years of experience overseeing Digital Literacy programs, including two years of supervisory or project management experience.
• Additional education may be considered in lieu of some experience.
• Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee work of full-time and part-time Digital Literacy staff.
• Mentor and arrange professional development opportunities for staff.
• Implement new programming addressing digital inclusion needs of the community, focusing on the aging population.
• Manage Nashville Public Library’s online digital literacy training platform.
• Develop and curate content for new computer users and online safety toolkit pages on the NPL website.
• Participate in local and national Digital Inclusion workgroups to share knowledge and design new programs.
• Apply and manage State Library technology grants.
• Assist NPLF in completing grant proposals and applications.
• Provide mid-year and final reports for funders.
• Keep abreast of new funding opportunities.
• Represent NPL nationally and conduct presentations and webinars as requested.
• Prepare and submit budgets, track spending, and submit purchase requests.
• Track and complete weekly/monthly/annual reports on patron registration, class completion and surveys.
• Coordinate with National organizations to license curriculum.
