CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to lead preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data. The role includes on-site lab work and remote collection tasks, with travel as needed.

A mid-level professional will manage complex cases with a lean-forensics team, contributing to procedures and best practices. The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering and 1+ years of relevant

Qualifications

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.
• 1+ years of relevant experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisitions, and intermediate analysis.
• Experience with industry standard forensic tools (EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery).
• Strong communication with legal teams and IT departments; ability to document workflows clearly.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and undergo occasional international travel.
• Proactive, self-starting team player capable of working independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams and client IT to define project scope.
• Maintain and update forensic toolsets and stay current with updates.
• Collaborate with project management to complete complex, deadline-driven projects.
• Develop and refine procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Manage chain of custody per standard operating procedures.
• Perform quality checks on deliverables before client submission.
• Travel for on-site collections and lab work as required.
