Job summary

CGS is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to lead preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data. The role requires fluency with a broad range of forensic tools and a readiness to travel for on-site collections in addition to in-office work in the forensics lab and data center.

The successful candidate will join a lean, employee-centric team focused on professional growth and effective collaboration with legal and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering.
• 1+ years of relevant forensic experience including evidence acquisitions and analysis.
• Experience with industry standard forensic tools (EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with legal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams and client IT to define project scope.
• Maintain and stay current with forensic tools and updates.
• Work with project management to deliver complex, deadline-driven projects.
• Document and refine procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Manage chain of custody and evidentiary integrity.
• Perform quality checks before delivering to clients.
• Support senior staff and assist in broader collection events.
