Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to focus on preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data. The role involves travel for on-site collections and in-office work at the main CGS facility with a forensics lab and data center.

Qualifications

• Minimum undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisitions and intermediate-level analysis.
• Experience with EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon.
• Understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption.
• Ability to travel for on-site collection and meet client deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic forensic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams and client IT to define project scope.
• Maintain and update forensic toolsets with current versions.
• Collaborate with project management to complete complex investigations under tight deadlines.
• Document workflows and ensure chain of custody best practices.
• Provide quality checks before delivering results to the client.
• Travel regularly and maintain a valid passport for international assignments.
