Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to focus on preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data. The role involves on-site and in-office work, travel for on-site collection, and collaboration with legal teams and IT departments.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of forensic experience, familiarity with tools like EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, and X1 Social Discovery, and the ability to document workflows while maintaining

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering.
• 1+ year of relevant experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisitions, and intermediate analysis.
• Experience with industry-standard forensic tools (EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1).
• Ability to preserve desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, cloud and on-premise data forensically.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams and client IT to understand project scope.
• Maintain and update forensic toolsets with latest versions and features.
• Work with project management to complete complex, deadline-driven projects.
• Document workflows and ensure proper chain of custody per standards.
