Job summary

CGS is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst whose primary focus will be the preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data. The role involves on-site visits, in-office presence at the main CGS office with a forensics lab and data center, and travel for on-site collection efforts.

The candidate should be fluent in a broad range of forensic technologies, capable of taking a primary role in a growing forensics department, and committed to professional growth within a lean-team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in the forensic lifecycle and evidence acquisitions.
• Experience with industry-standard forensic tools (EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon).

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic analysis on-site and remote.
• Coordinate with legal teams/client IT to understand project scope.
• Maintain forensic toolset by staying current on versions and options.
• Work with project management and team members on complex projects under deadlines.
• Assist in developing and refining procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Manage all chain of custody best practices and adhere to SOPs.
• Perform quality checks on work products before delivering to client.
