Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to lead preservation and collection of mobile and cloud-stored data. The role requires fluency with a broad range of forensic tools and will involve on-site, lab, and travel commitments to support on-demand collections.

The ideal candidate holds a Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering degree with 1+ years of hands-on forensic experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to mentor others in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.
• 1+ year experience in forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisitions on devices, and intermediate analysis.
• Experience with standard forensic tools: EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic forensic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams and client IT to define project scope.
• Maintain and update forensic toolsets with latest updates and options.
• Collaborate with project management and team members on complex, fast-paced projects.
• Develop and refine procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Manage chain of custody per rules of evidence.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and perform quality checks on outputs.
• Handle additional duties assigned by the manager, including general IT tasks.
