Job summary

Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a Digital Forensic Analyst to join the Forensics Department. The role focuses on preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud data, with travel for on-site collections and an in-office presence in the main office with a forensics lab and data center.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in forensic lifecycle, experience with EnCase, Cellebrite, and other tools, and a degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum undergraduate degree, preferably in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in forensic lifecycle, scope, acquisitions, and intermediate analysis.
• Experience with industry-standard forensic tools (EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon).
• Understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic forensic analysis in on-site and remote capacity.
• Coordinate with legal teams/client IT departments to understand project scope.
• Maintain forensic tool set by staying current on version updates and new options in the market.
• Work with project management and team members on complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in developing, documenting, and refining procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Manage chain of custody best practices and ensure integrity of evidence.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and perform quality checks before delivering results.
• Complete additional duties assigned by the manager including general IT functions.
