Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while staying close to code and technical decisions.

You will mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, and coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
6+ years of technology software development experience including leading project teams or delivery workstreams.
Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, microservices and RESTful APIs.
Experience with Angular or React and guiding full-stack decisions.
Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise applications.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container deployments, testing, and code quality gates.
Experience with Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking.
Experience leading distributed teams across geographies and cross-functional stakeholders.
Mentorship and coaching to improve engineering practices.
Experience with asynchronous/event-driven architectures (Kafka) and observability (Splunk).
Working knowledge of Hadoop/Spark/Flink for batch/real-time processing.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, and production support.
Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and front-end frameworks.
Plan and manage Agile delivery including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and estimation.
Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
Mentor engineers through coaching, design reviews, and career development discussions.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; raise impediments with actions.
Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
Support data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, or similar technologies when needed.
