Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support, coordinating across time zones and stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers and drive delivery using Java/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks. This role emphasizes secure, observable, and scalable engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience, including leadership of project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks, preferably Angular or React, guiding full‑stack decisions.
• Experience with enterprise apps on a major cloud platform and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proofs-of-concepts.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery with backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and demos.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and ensure clear ownership and handoffs.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, design reviews, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, DevOps, security and stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; escalate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink.
