Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while keeping code close to core decisions.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate delivery across distributed teams, and translate business needs into actionable delivery plans across Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience, including leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks, preferably Angular or React, guiding full-stack decisions.
• Experience delivering enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD, container deployments, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, planning, backlog management, release planning, and tracking.
• Experience coordinating distributed teams across geographies and stakeholders.
• Mentorship skills to improve engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across project phases.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, debugging, and tech proofs-of-concept.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching and code-quality feedback.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; address impediments.
• Promote CI/CD, secure development, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink.
