Qualifications

• Ability to interact with varying customers (consumer to small business).
• Ability to effectively handle difficult customer conversations.
• Well-organized with proven time management and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with internet user-level technology.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers and explain Consumer and Business Banking solutions; make recommendations based on identified needs.
• Engage customers to bank with us and promote digital capabilities.
• Explain the high-level criteria used to decision loan applications.
• Complete servicing-related responsibilities for Consumer and Business Banking relationships.
• Follow the bank’s sales process and provide customer-focused guidance.
• Proactively reach out to customers to support retention and expansion.
• Adhere to customer service standards and deliver a differentiated experience.
• Actively engage in lobby management and greet customers to solve needs.
• Introduce appropriate banking partners when opportunities arise.
• Assist with AML/BSA/KYC processes and identify suspected fraud.
• Resolve and log customer complaints; review overdrafts.
• Accurately complete customer transactions and document interactions.
• Adhere to compliance/operational risk controls and audit points.
• Promote an environment of belonging and reflect the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal controls and respond to regulator findings.
• Meet registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
