Advancement Project Education Fund in Washington, DC seeks a Creative Digital Content Strategist to join the Communications team. You will drive multimedia storytelling, social media, and on-camera content while translating complex policy issues into clear narratives for Black and brown communities.

The role demands a strong digital foundation, design sensibility, and the ability to develop content across campaigns, events, and advocacy moments with ethical storytelling and audience engagement

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, media studies, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Digital Content Creation and Social Media: develop multimedia stories, pitch video concepts, appear on camera, shoot and edit short-form video using CapCut, Instagram Edits, Adobe Premiere, and similar tools.
• Visual Storytelling and Graphics: design infographics and visuals using Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite; ensure consistency across channels and assets.
• Team collaboration: plan with Communications team, coordinate with program staff, manage projects and deadlines, contribute to equitable team culture.
• What You’ll Need To Be Considered: 3 years of digital communications experience; nonprofit/advocacy background preferred; Spanish language skills encouraged; commitment to equity and justice.
