Job summary

CLASP, based in Washington, D.C., seeks a Digital Communications Associate to translate policy research into engaging digital content. The role emphasizes social media publishing, graphic design, and multimedia storytelling within a hybrid work model.

You will maintain content calendars, support email campaigns, and collaborate with policy teams to elevate CLASP’s racial and economic justice priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, public policy, journalism, or related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant communications experience or combination of education and experience.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Draft, schedule, post, and monitor content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube).
• Create social media copy that translates policy research and advocacy priorities for diverse audiences.
• Monitor partner feeds and engage with posts; lead social media events and activations.
• Create social media graphics, charts, infographics, and other digital assets following brand standards.
• Support editorial calendars, website updates, emails, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
