ACLU of the District of Columbia is seeking a Digital Communications Coordinator to support our mission by creating and distributing compelling digital content across social media, email, and web platforms. The role emphasizes graphic design, video production, and audience growth in the District, with collaboration across Communications, Policy, Legal, and Development teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in graphic design, video production, social media content and strategy, digital marketing, or related fields.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
• Experience creating short-form video content and comfort with on-camera appearance.
• Strong writing and editing skills; ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Experience managing social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
• Highly organized; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Write, edit, and schedule social posts across platforms.
• Produce graphics, short-form videos, and multimedia content for campaigns.
• Grow ACLU-D.C.'s audience among residents, members, advocates, media, and officials.
• Appear on camera as needed for video content production.
• Manage social media calendar and posting cadence.
• Develop and implement tone/strategy for platforms like TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn.
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
• Track trends and identify opportunities for participation in online conversations.
• Support digital advertising strategy and collaborator with teams.
