Capital One is seeking a Café Ambassador for the Chicago area to serve as the face of our mission, bridging digital innovation with human connection. You will act as a high-end service specialist and guide to digital banking, supporting guests through our ecosystem in a vibrant community hub.

You’ll engage with guests, share the value of Capital One’s products, host local events, and uphold a culture of inclusion. This role is dynamic, requiring mobility and a strong service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 1 year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years banking experience preferred.
• 2+ years retail or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Proficient in G-Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a Natural Connector: Proactively engage with guests in a high-energy environment that serves as both a community space and a local coffee shop. You are a banking guide, not a barista.
• Serve as a Brand Advocate: Share Capital One’s products and services through conversation, not transactions, with no high-pressure quotas.
• Simplify the Complex: Guide customers through our digital ecosystem and mobile tools.
• Facilitate Purposeful Impact: Host local events promoting financial health within Capital One programs.
• Advocate & Problem-Solve: Resolve issues in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements, including de-escalation.
• Act as a Culture Carrier: Foster an inclusive, detail-oriented, adaptable team environment.
• Stay Agile & Engaged: Move throughout the Cafe and support guest flow in a dynamic setting.
