Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Automation Engineer for a hybrid role at one of our major U.S. facilities.

You will shape scalable, production‑ready automation solutions, mentor teammates, and partner with the India automation team to enable enterprise delivery across Digital Technology. The ideal candidate has a university degree with 10+ years of experience, strong software development skills, APIs, DevOps practices, and experience with CI/CD.

Qualifications

• University Degree with 10+ years of experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong software development and programming skills.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations and troubleshooting.
• DevOps practices, source control, testing and deployment automation.
• Ability to assess technical designs and solve complex engineering problems.
• Mentoring colleagues and providing technical guidance.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell).
• Experience with Git-based workflows and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable, production-ready intelligent automation solutions.
• Bridge proofs of concept and MVPs with enterprise implementation.
• Provide technical mentorship to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with India Automation Development team and other DT SMEs.
• Develop maintainable code, APIs, and integrations.
• Support CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring, and logging.
• Document system dependencies and operational procedures.
