RTX in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an Automation Engineer to push the boundaries of intelligent automation. You will design scalable, production-ready automation solutions and mentor teams across Digital Technology. This is a hybrid role operating at RTX facilities.

The position requires strong software development, APIs, DevOps and Git proficiency, with mentoring responsibilities and collaboration with global teams, including India. Eligible candidates must be US persons.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position .(U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
• Strong software development and programming skills.
• Practical experience with APIs, system integrations and troubleshooting.
• Experience with DevOps practices, source control, testing and deployment automation.
• Ability to assess technical designs and solve complex engineering problems.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and provide constructive technical guidance.
• Programming: Proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell) with experience developing, debugging and maintaining code.
• Git & source control: Hands‑on experience with Git and collaborative development workflows, including branching, merging, pull requests, code reviews and conflict resolution.
• Software engineering practices: Understanding of modular design, reusable components, automated testing, code quality and maintainability.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Practical experience with build and deployment pipelines, environment configuration and automated testing.

Responsabilités

• Engineer scalable, reliable, production-ready intelligent automation solutions.
• Bridge proofs of concept and MVPs with enterprise implementation.
• Provide technical mentorship to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Partner with India Automation Development team and other Digital Technology SMEs to enable delivery.
