Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation in Valdosta, GA, seeks a Dietitian to collaborate with the Dietary Manager and healthcare team to provide nourishing, palatable, well-balanced meals that meet residents' daily needs and special diets.

The role includes conducting assessments, creating care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, documenting care in medical records, and guiding dining services to deliver high-quality nutrition. A registered Dietitian with current CDR registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics is required.
• 1-2 years of professional health care experience is preferred, but new RDs are encouraged to apply.
• Must have current, unrestricted and active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) relative to state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Completes clinical documentation in medical records pertaining to nutritional needs and care plans to comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Interviews patients and families to capture preferences and needs; incorporate into the care plan.
• Collaborates with the Dietary Manager to consolidate diet orders and texture modifications, ensuring accurate service.
• Works with the interdisciplinary team by attending care plan conferences to develop and evaluate plans of care.
• Performs meal observations and resident interviews to ensure adherence to prescribed diet orders and interventions; adjust menus as needed.
• Conducts quality assurance rounds of the Dietary Department in line with regulations and company policies.
• Assists in interviewing and hiring staff to perform essential functions and guides dining quality improvements.
• Collaborates with Corporate Dietitian for timely responses to information requests and service improvements.
