Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing care center, hospital, or related medical center.
• Certification in Dietetic training approved by AND and/or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required.
• Customer service oriented; training in cost control, food management and diet therapy; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patient/family to assess food preferences, diet history, and nutrition needs.
• Documents nutrition-related information in the medical record per assessments and care plan.
• Prepares forRD visit and follows recommendations per policy.
• Reviews diet orders to ensure meals meet prescriptions and menu.
• Monitors food safety, temperatures, and proper storage per guidelines.
• Supervises tray line service and conducts tray audits.
