The position requires Serv Safe Manager certification, strong English and math skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced care setting. Hospital or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Serv Safe Manager certification.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math calculations, measure and record data.
• Attention to detail, good follow-through and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous hospital or long term care facility experience preferred.
• Demonstrates cooperation and ability to work as a team.
• Remain calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors dietary department personnel as required.
• Ensures department personnel follow established policies and procedures.
• Contributes to performance evaluations of subordinates with the Dietary Manager.
• Prepares and serves meals for residents within dietary orders.
• Works with Dietary Manager to meet resident needs and forecast production.
• Assists with purchasing and storage of food and equipment.
• Ensures department produces a quality product within budgetary guidelines.
• Operates kitchen equipment and adapts for residents’ needs.
• Responds to residents’ requests on short notice and supports facility events.
