Apple Rehab Avon is seeking a Cook Supervisor to oversee the dietary department, supervise aides, and ensure meals meet residents' diet orders. You will assist with production planning, forecasting, and recipe development while ensuring budgets and equipment usage align with standards.

The role requires Serv Safe Manager certification, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prior hospital or long-term care experience is preferred. A collaborative, patient approach in a team environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Serv Safe Manager certification.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math calculations.
• Attention to detail, good follow through, ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous hospital or long-term care facility experience preferred.
• Demonstrates cooperation and ability to work as a team.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Patient, tactful, positive attitude toward residents and their families.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff and families professionally.

Responsibilities

• Supervises dietary department personnel and ensures policy adherence.
• Assists with performance evaluations of subordinates with the Dietary Manager.
• Prepares and serves meals according to residents' diet orders.
• Forecasts needs and assists with recipe development.
• Assists with purchasing and storage of food and equipment.
• Ensures the department produces quality meals within budget.
