Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited course in Dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patient/family at admission and periodically to obtain diet history and preferences.
• Assesses and documents nutritional needs per care plan.
• Reviews regular/therapeutic diets to ensure correct service.
• Counsels patients on dietary preferences, appetite, and meals.
• Assesses cultural food considerations affecting intake.
• Maintains temperature records for food storage areas.
