Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with food preparation, deliver meals, and maintain cleanliness in the dining and kitchen areas. This role emphasizes safe food handling, customer service, and adherence to infection control policies.

The position involves preparing nourishments, assisting with meal service, and supporting dietary operations under supervision in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• None, on-the-job training is provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and/or snacks for patients/residents; i.e. salads and desserts and other dishes.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area; food and beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments (make sandwiches, etc.) and serves in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Offers menu substitutions and records them in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Follows procedures for serving partner meals.
• Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, patients/residents/clients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor.
