Responsibilities

• Oversee the food service program at a single site, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles as dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate effectively with client managers, building occupants, and administrators.
• Ensure safety by using protective gear, handling cleaning solutions properly, and reporting equipment needs.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain punctuality and complete tasks timely.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
• Associates degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Two years of experience in food production/service and supervision preferred.
• Obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within first 14 days.
• Obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days.
• Strong communication skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication skills.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
• May need to complete sanitation and safety courses.
• Residency within the service area required.
