Summary

The ideal candidate will be able to assess and monitor the nutritional status of patients as it relates to disease state, including patients on enteral and parenteral nutrition. They should be proficient in counseling and instructing patients and their families according to their prescribed diets. The ability to adapt standard diets to individual physical, cultural, socioeconomic, and religious conditions is essential.

Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Licensed by Georgia's State Board of Licensed Dietitians and the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care inpatient setting, long-term care facility, long-term acute care facility, rehabilitation facility, or outpatient nutrition program
  • Certified Diabetes Educator certification by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators or certification within one (1) year of hire
  • Certifications in a specialty area are preferred
