Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to standardized recipes.

• Serve as liaison for dietary manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep.
• Maintain sanitation standards in kitchen and equipment before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development.
• Flexibly handle last-minute requests for events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
