Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions in New Jersey is seeking a talented Dietary Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility. The role requires ServSafe or Food Protection Manager Certification and experience in high-volume culinary operations.

You will prepare, portion, and plate nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while maintaining sanitation and inventory controls, and supporting the Dietary Manager during absence. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Meal preparation & culinary excellence following standardized recipes.
• Plating and presentation to ensure attractive menu items.
• Lead liaison for Dietary Manager during absence to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards before and after service.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
