Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a classically trained Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare meals for residents, plate dishes attractively, and assist with inventory and recipe development.

The role requires maintaining sanitation standards and may involve leading in the absence of the Dietary Manager. Full-time position with benefits; must be available to work every other weekend.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following recipes.
• Plate and present dishes attractively for residents.
• Support Dietary Manager in their absence to maintain meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, and assist with purchasing and recipe development.
• Handle special events and last-minute culinary requests as needed.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
