Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions at Northampton Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. You will prepare, portion, and cook nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes while maintaining high sanitation and attractive presentation.

You will support the Dietary Manager in their absence, manage kitchen inventory, assist with purchasing and recipe development, and handle special event requests.

Qualifications

• Meal preparation & cooking following standardized recipes.
• High-volume culinary operations experience preferred.
• Plating and presentation of finished dishes.
• Kitchen sanitation and safety compliance.
• Inventory management and recipe development support.
• Ability to assist Dietary Manager during absence.
• Flexibility to handle special events.

Responsibilities

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last‑minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
