Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a classically trained Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare, portion, and plate meals following standardized recipes and support the Dietary Manager during peak periods.

You must maintain high sanitation standards, manage inventory and contribute to menu development, while flexibly handling special events and last-minute requests. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes.
• Willingness to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, portioning, and cooking according to recipes.
• Plating and presentation of plated meals.
• Support the Dietary Manager during absences.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Inventory management, stock rotation, and help with menu/ recipe development.
• Handle special events and last-minute culinary requests.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
