Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a classically trained Cook with experience in high-volume kitchen operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility. Certification in ServSafe or Food Protection Manager is required.

You will prepare and portion meals, plate foods attractively, support the Dietary Manager in their absence, uphold strict kitchen sanitation, manage inventory and recipes, and assist with special events and purchasing as needed.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with high-volume kitchen experience.
• ServSafe or Food Protection Manager Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals following recipes.
• Plate and garnish to present meals attractively.
• Assist Dietary Manager during absence to ensure meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development.
• Flexibly handle special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

ServSafe or Food Protection Manager Certification Required.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
