Job summary

Baypointe Dental Care PC is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role includes preparing meals for residents in a hospital/long-term care setting, following menus, and ensuring sanitary kitchen conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience. ServSafe certification is mandatory, and knowledge of PCC is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Should have experience as a cook in a hospital or long term care facility for not less than one year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge of Department of Public Health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures for meals; assist with serving and cleaning duties.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
