Job summary

PACS Group in Florida is seeking a Cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals for residents in a hospital/long-term care setting, follow menus, and ensure safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities include recording temperatures, preparing special diets, training dietary staff, and coordinating with other departments. Must have a high school diploma and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility (minimum 1 year).
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities according to menus and portion control guides.
• Record food temperatures for meals and prepare pureed foods as needed.
• Assist with serving meals and cooperate with other departments.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
